Entry ID:
AWI-EDMED_542_8
Summary
Abstract:
The aim of the aeromagnetic surveys in the Ross Sea and North Victoria Land
are: a) to develop a model on the break-up of this part of Gondwana b) to map the ocean-continent boundary c) to develop an idea about the evolution of the area since the break-up of Gondwana d) to map the structures of the Transatlantic Mountains. The data were sampled every 10 s, corresponding to 500 m distance. The following instrument was used: PPM Geometics G 811. The geographical coverage is as follows: about 17000 km of aeromagnetic data have been collected in the Ross Sea and North Victoria Land, Antarctica. Data are available on request, but with special arrangement. Geographic Coverage
