Abstract: The Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry
(SABER) is one of four instruments that constitute the TIMED
spacecraft, the first mission of the NASA Solar Connections program.
Data from ... the SABER instrument consists of Level 1B, Level 2A and
Level 2B data.
Level 1B data consists of calibrated radiance profiles converted to
radiance units with instrument effects removed, geolocated and gridded
to a uniform angle spacing.
Level 2A data consists of profiles of kinetic temperature, presure and
density, profiles of emission rates of nitrogen oxide (NO), hydroxyl
(OH), and oxygen (O2); mixing ratios of ozone (O3), water vapor (H2O),
carbon dioxide (CO2), oxygen (O), and hydrogen (H).
Level 2B data consists of profiles of CO2, O and H mixing
ratios. Profiles of cooling rates from CO2, NO, O3, and H2O; profiles
of heating rates from O3, O2, and CO2; profiles of heating rates from
various ractions; profiles of emission and heating efficiency from OH
and O2; and profiles of geotropic wind.
