Abstract:
The Mass-Spectrometer-Incoherent-Scatter (MSIS) model describes the
neutral temperature and densities in the Upper Atmosphere (above about 100 km). MSIS-86 constitutes the upper part of the COSPAR International Reference Atmosphere (CIRA) 1986.
