Summary

Abstract: To provide livestock production data for the Former Soviet Union.

Dataset includes monthly, quarterly, and annual data for livestock
inventories, production, and productivity of former Soviet Republics;
annual data on both state and private farms for the total FSU and each
of the 15 republics; quarterly (inventories) and monthly (production)
data on state farms only for all republics except the Baltic States
and Georgia; annual animal productivity for all-farm average and for
state farms alone is available for Russia, Ukraine, Lativa,
Estonia. Some additional data is provided the three major republics of
Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan.
