Abstract: FAOSTAT is an on-line and CD multilingual database currently containing over one million time-series records, updated as of September 2001, covering 210 countries and territories and international statistics concerning 3000 items in the following areas: Production, Trade, Food Balance Sheets Fertilizer and Pesticides, Land Use and Irrigation, Forest Products, Fishery Products, Population, Agricultural Machinery and Food Aid Shipments.
