The discontinuities in the AAC and harvest of industrial roundwood data between
the pre- and post-1990 periods are due to differences in data sources. Estimates of AAC for 1990 and later account for private lands and federal lands, which was not usually the case for years prior to 1990. The factors included in the determination of the AAC and the period for which the AAC is reported vary considerably among jurisdictions
