Summary
Abstract: These data consist of a number of subsets of soil samples gathered from the Wright Valley in January 2006. Replicate randomly-located samples of surface soils to 10 cm depth have been gathered from common landforms in the area. Within the most widespread landforms, the same type of samples have been gathered along transects of increasing distance from Lake Vanda and ... from the banks of the lower ... View entire text

Quality The data were pre-processed to give five-band radiometrically
corrected, geometrically matched, ERDAS 7.5 raster images with pixel
size of 0.01 degree resolution. Major corruptions in the data set,
dropped lines - speckle, were removed where possible.

The active fires were extracted from the remapped images using a

Access Constraints End-users external to GVM can have access to the data and make use of
it in their own field of research and/or application only if they
fullfill the use- constraints listed below.
Use Constraints When the data set is derived from results already published in
conferences or journals, the external user must agree with MTV on the
correct form of refer- ence. If it is derived from results not yet
published, the external user and GVM should agree on a co-author work.
