MODIS was launched aboard the Aqua satellite on May 04, 2002

Compiled from trimetrogon air photography 1956-1960. Coastline, rock/ice interface, rock contours and spot heights on ice have been produced from aerial photography dated January, September and November 1960. Contours on ice have been derived from Soviet Maps.
Access Constraints
Data stored as shapefiles. Stored as geographicals with a projection file. This data were removed from the Australian Antarctic Data Centre download site on the 21 July 2003 but is available from the Data Centre on request. This dataset has been superceded by the &Larsemann Hills - Mapping from aerial photography captured February 1998& dataset and the &Larsemann Hills - Mapping from Landsat imagery captured January 2000& dataset.
