Summary
Abstract: The Goddard Chemistry Aerosol Radiation and Transport (GOCART) model simulation provides global daily and monthly aerosol optical depths data at seven wavelengths (350, 450, 550, 650, 900, 1000, and 1500 nm) for major tropospheric aerosol components, including sulfate, dust, black carbon (BC), organic carbon (OC), and sea-salt aerosols at a horizontal resolution of 2.5x2.0 deg. The GOCART model uses the assimilated meteorological fields of the Goddard Earth Observing System Data Assimilation System (GEOS DAS), generated by the Goddard Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO). The data provided from the GES DISC are from the GOCART Simulation Experiment ID G4P0.
