Year 2001 Tropical Cyclones of the World PosterEntry ID: gov.noaa.ncdc.C00346
Abstract: Year 2001 Tropical Cyclones of the World is a poster available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). During calendar year 2001, fifty tropical cyclones with sustained surface winds of at least 64 knots were observed around the world. NOAA's Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellites (POES) captured these powerful storms near peak intensity, which are all presented in this colorful poster. These are available in two formats: 36"x 36" glossy prints and 42"x42" matte prints.
Purpose: To make a wide range of climatic data available to researchers and the public.
