Summary

Abstract: The daily, monthly and annual climate data resides in 3 books, 'Les
Donnees Climatologiques De Lithuanie' ( C/dba L776c), and is written
in French and Lithuanian. The data contained in these books are tables
of daily, monthly, and annual climate data for Lithuania from 1926 to
1937. The surface parameters included in these tables are: annual
mean, maximum, and minimum temperature; annual mean precipitation;
monthly mean temperature, pressure, relative humidity, and
precipitation totals for ten day periods; monthly mean number of hours
of insolation; and wind direction frequency. Each of the above
parameters is for each individual year and averaged over the period.

The daily observations and monthly averages resides in 2 books: 1)
'Ergebnisse der Meteorologischen Beobachtungen in Litauen' (C/dba
L776); and 2) 'Ergebnisse der meteorologischen Beobachtungen-Lithuania
Meteorologishces Buro' (C/dba L776e), both written in German. The data
contained in these books are tables and maps of daily observations and
monthly weather data for Lithuania. These data are for each year from
1924 to 1930. The surface parameters included in these tables are:
hourly observations of pressure, temperature, humidity, cloudiness,
and winds; daily rainfall; monthly mean temperature and rainfall,
(also absolute maximum and minimum temperature and maximum rainfall);
and monthly number of snow, fog, thunderstorm, cloudy, clear, and
measurable precipitation days. The maps include monthly means of
surface temperature and precipitation.

The Lithuanian climate data reside in 1 book, 'Le Climat De La
Lithuanie' (C/dba P152), and is written in French. This book contains
daily, monthly, seasonal, and annual maps and tables of climate data
for Lithuania averaged over the period 1777 to 1910. The surface
parameters included in these tables are the following: mean monthly
sunshine duration, air and soil temperature, winds, humidity,
precipitation, extremes of temperature, and movement of ice; seasonal
mean temperature; five day mean temperature; mean annual variability
and mean diurnal variation of temperature for each month; and monthly
mean number of rain and snow days. The maps included in this book
are: monthly means of surface temperature, pressure, and resultant
winds; mean winter and summer cyclone tracks; monthly rainfall totals;
mean summer cloudiness; and climate zones.

Climate data for Petrosvsko-Rasumovskoie reside in 1 book, 'Climate
and Vegetation on the Territory of the Timiriazev Academy' (C/db
Z39). The data contained in this book are tables and graphs of
monthly, seasonal, and annual climate data for Lithuania and Russia
averaged over the period 1879 to 1928. The tables include the
following information: monthly mean, mean maximum, mean minimum,
absolute maximum and minimum for air and soil temperature, pressure,
humidity, winds and cloudiness; monthly total and diurnal maximum of
evaporation and precipitation; monthly number of days of
precipitation, snow, rain, sleet, hail, thunderstorms, frost, fog, and
clear and overcast skies; monthly number of sunshine hours and solar
radiation at noon; monthly temperature variability; and average,
earliest, and latest frost and snows during the year. Graphs in this
book include the following: precipitation totals; average, greatest,
and least number of days with precipitation; and thickness of snow
cover. These graphs are for each month of the year. A major part of
this book deals with an essay in plant growth.
