The Product was first released in 2003 as a framework to summarize weather-related hazards and disasters across the world. Information is presented on a web page that is updated weekly and is focused on the following events: drought, excessive heat, flooding, severe storms, tropical cyclones, extratropical cyclones, and severe winter weather. The information provided is a compilation of media news and other reports accompanied by relevant images, graphs, and documents.
