CLPX-Ground: Micrometeorological Measurements Over Snow, Tower Mounted
Entry ID:
NSIDC-0162
Summary
Abstract:
This data set presents micrometeorological data from the Flux over Snow Surfaces (FLOSS) project carried out during the Cold Land Processes Field Experiment (CLPX) at North Park, Colorado, USA. The project measured air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, wind speed, water vapor flux, carbon dioxide, longwave and shortwave radiation, soil temperature, soil moisture, soil heat flux, precipitation, snow depth, and eddy correlation. Measurements were collected between 1 Dec 2001 and 27 March 2002, and between 20 November 2002 and 24 March 2003. Sensors were installed on a 24-meter tower, and on 2-meter and 4-meter platforms.

The population per grid cell (item Pop) is based upon the population data of Gridded Population of the World, Version 3 (GPWv3). The area per grid cell (Areakm) is calculated by subtracting from the area of the grid cell those areas that are permanently inundated as identified using VMAP (0)/Digital Chart of the World. Building upon a methodology developed by Sachs et al. (2003), a Gross Domestic ...
