Decoded Offshore Weather Observations

Summary

Abstract: This home page gives access to decoded offshore weather observations
from numerous regions around the world. The data is transmitted from
many sources, but primarily from moored buoys and ships crossing the
oceans. The format of the raw data is entirely numerical, and
therefore, both time consuming and difficult to interpret. To make
these observations more readable, this home page presents the data
decoded into tables with the following information:

Station ID, Latitude and Longitude, Temperature, Dewpoint,
Wind (Sustained and Gust) Direction and Speed, Maximum Wind Gust,
Surface Pressure, 3 Hourly Pressure Tendency, Sea Surface
Temperature, Wave Heights, and Wave Period
