This product is similar to AIRX2SUP. It is newest product produced using AIRS IR only because the radiometric noise in AMSU channel 4 started to increase significantly (since June 2007).

Data source: Two SPOT XS scenes (246-490, 246-491), both acquired 13 March 1988, and two Landsat TM scenes (135-108, 137-107), acquired 14 Novemeber 1989 and 21 January 1992 respectively. Projection and Grid: Transverse Mercator, grid zone 41. Co-ordinates: Geographical and UTM. Horizontal datum: World Geodetic System 1984. Magnetic Variation: 65.3 degrees west in February 1997, and moves westerly by about 0.1 degrees each year. Nomenclature: Names have been approved by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia.
