Summary

Abstract: This data set is a subset of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA)
Envirofacts point data set which includes facilities included in the the Toxic
Release Inventory. Information on total pounds of volatile organic compounds
released in 1995, 1996, and 1997 (from USEPA's Toxic Release Inventory CD-ROM

Quality Only point locations included in the Envirofacts point data set with a TRI
source location are included here. Only 8003 of the 8181 1995 VOC totals had
TRI Ids that had a match in the Envirofacts point data set (178 "unmappable"
releases). Only 7172 of the 7581 1996 VOC totals had TRI Ids that had a match
(409 "unmappable" releases). Only 6629 of the 7202 1997 VOC totals had TRI Ids
that had a match (573 "unmappable" releases). An updated Envirofacts point data
set would undoubtedly yield a greater number of mappable sites.
