Summary

Abstract: The dataset represents preliminary identifications of benthic invertebrates collected on continental margins worldwide during 31 cruises of the P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences. The cruises were conducted in the period from 1956 to 1998. The dataset was generated at the Laboratory of Ocean Benthic Fauna. It is based mainly on unpublished sources (cruise reports) and in part on publications in Russian.
