Summary
Abstract: Genomics is high-profile science, impacting on all areas of biology, especially functional genomics focuses on the dynamic aspects such as gene transcription, translation, and protein–protein interactions for attempting to answer questions about the function of DNA at the levels of genes, RNA transcripts, and protein products.

Purpose: The Antarctic genomics project is their genome-wide approach to these questions for various Antarctic biota, such as fishes, amphipodas, plants, lichens and microorganisms involving high-throughput methods.
