Abstract:
Tumor frequency in brown bullhead and PAH residue levels have been studied
periodically in the Black River since 1980. During 1982 when a coke plant was operational, brown bullhead (age 3 or older) had a 60% frequency of liver neoplasms and a 39% frequency of outright cancer.
