Abstract:
To provide an overview of vascular plant distribution in Arkansas. Provides vascular plant distribution data for Arkansas counties. One may browse diversity/distribution maps for the Arkansas flora by selecting from an alphabetical (first letter) index. Also provided is a table of Arkansas counties, ranked in order of number of taxa collected, from which one may retrieve either an outline map of the state showing the county location or a hierarchical checklist of taxa collected from the county. See: "http://www.csdl.tamu.edu/FLORA/arkansas/arkfamyy.htm" The current map distributions are based on An Atlas and Annotated Checklist of the Vascular Plants of Arkansas (1988) by Dr. Edwin B. Smith as converted to electronic form by The Biota of North America Program and processed by The Texas A&M Bioinformatics Working Group. |
