Assessment of the recovery of damage to mosses (from walking tracks, cores and slab removal) from the Taylor Valley

Summary
Abstract:
It is commonly accepted that mosses in the Dry Valley's grow very slowly. The recovery of mosses was investigated by locating and investigating in detail various damaged sites from previous activity including tracks, core removal and slab removal from either the 79/80 or 80/81 field season. Sites were located from field maps, photographed and the assessment of recovery for each activities impact was re-examined in the 89/90 season, the 96/97 season and the 02/03 season.
