Summary
Abstract:
Since 1973 TSS has received data from the NOAA satellites. Using the
national part of the Internet, Uninett, TSS has established a near real-time processing and distribution system for NOAA AVHRR data. Quick looks, raw data set, geo-corrected data sets, SST and weather images are available for near real-time delivery to customers in Norway and other countries that can be reached using Internet or ISDN. The processing and distribution time for these products are typically 1-3 hours. The AVHRR data for the entire coverage area of Tromso Satellite Station is also stored on optical disks. This archive is a part of ESA TIROS Co-ordinated Network. Geographic Coverage
