Entry ID:
IAIDIS520
Summary
Abstract:
This dataset refers to the Final Report of the ISP round III project number
022, which has the name "Benefits of Incorporating ENSO Forecasts into Reservoir Operation and Hydro-electric Power Distribution Procedures". This research (i) seeks to improve forecasts of streamflow into the largest hydro-power reservoirs in Colombia, Costa Rica and Panama, (ii) to incorporate that forecasting methodology into the overall operation of the respective national hydroelectric power schemes, and (iii) to estimate the financial benefits of their combined applications. The final report for this project can be downloaded from this page ftp://disbr1.iai.int/iai/isp3/022-Waylen/Final_Report.pd. Principal Investigator: Peter Waylen, prwaylen@geog.ufl.edu, University of Florida.
