Abstract:
The El Nino Winter of 1997 - 1998 is a technical report available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). Prior to the winter of 1997-8, record-breaking warm-episode (El Nino) conditions had persisted in the tropical Pacific since June 1997.
