Summary
|
Abstract:
This data set features bedrock geology polygons for Mount Desert Island. Coded with rock units and text description. It was developed for planning and ecological research and to interact with other spatial data. Digitized maps and cleaned-up linework using PC Arc/Info. Encoded polygons using PC Arc/Info. Produced scaled proof plots of the data and overlayed them on top of the original maps to validate polygons and attribute values. This information was obtained from Federal Geographic Committee metadata produced by Gordon Longsworth of the College of the Atlantic and put into Nasa Directory Interchange Format by Cheryl Solomon. |
