Summary
Abstract: Climatic data resides in 1 book, 'Das Klima Von Wilhelmshaven' (C/dc
251 L948) written in German. The data contained in these books are
tables of monthly, seasonal, and annual surface climatic data for
Wilhelmshaven and Bremen, Germany averaged over the period 1876 to
1920. Daily variables incorporated in these data are: daily and five
day temperature mean; day to day temperature changes; and mean length
and variability of daily temperature changes.

Monthly parameters included in these data are the following: mean
temperature, pressure, winds, humidity, vapor pressure, cloudiness,
and rainfall duration; mean maximum and minimum pressure, temperature,
and humidity; absolute maximum and minimum pressure, temperature,
precipitation, and humidity; number of days of frost, hot, warm, rain,
dry, and winter periods, sunny skies, cloudy skies, fog,
thunderstorms, snow, snow cover, rain, hail, maximum and minimum<0,
and maximum > 25; mean and absolute variability of pressure and
temperature; mean and absolute pressure change; wind direction
frequency; and windy hours.

Seasonal variables contained in these data are: mean and absolute
maximum and minimum of temperature; number of days of sunny skies,
cloudy skies, fog, thunderstorms, snow, rain, and hail; and windy
hours. The probability of precipitation (rain, snow, etc) is also
tabulated.

Annual parameters include: number of rain and dry periods in days;
frequency of temperature categories in number of days per year; and
periods of days with snow or snow cover.

This book is part of the foreign meteorological data collection held
by the NOAA Central Library in Washington, DC. Information in this
collection dates back to the 18th century for daily, monthly,
seasonal, and annual tabular summaries, and the 19th century for
weather maps. These data are the result of foreign exchange
agreements, but the collection has not been updated since 1983.
