The Casey Traverse Program was Australia's major contribution to the International Antarctic Glaciological Project, aimed at determining the galciological regime and processes, and deducting some of the history and future of a sizeable part of the east Antarctic ice sheet approximately bounded by longitude 60 and 160E, and latitude 80S.
