Abstract:
These GIS data contain the proposed locations of individual wind turbines as part of the Cape Wind energy project located on Horseshoe Shoal in Nantucket Sound off the Massachusetts coast. Coordinates were based on GPS coordinates and reflects the revised Project layout of 07/05/05. Details of the field survey data collection are unknown.
Purpose: This dataset was created for reference and display of proposed energy facilities in Massachusetts coastal waters, and originally developed by the applicant, Cape Wind Associates, LLC, to supplement an extensive permitting process of their proposed wind farm.
