A series of four maps showing the state of forests in the northern coastal area
of Oregon. They show the change in stand age over time due to fires. The maps
show conditions in 1850, 1890, 1920, and 1940.

Description: The Bureau of Land Management [BLM] manages 16,233,739 acres of public
lands in Oregon and 370,110 acres in Washington. From the forests of
western Oregon to the rangelands in eastern Oregon and Washington, BLM
uses a multiple-use approach to managing your public lands. BLM
manages for wildlife, recreation, timber harvest, livestock grazing,
mineral extraction and other public uses.
