Abstract: LTER - Long-Term Ecological Research Program/Hubbard Brook
Experimental Forest (HBEF).

LTER/HBR012:
During the winter of 1965-1966, watershed 2 at HBEF was clearcut and
all trees left on site. During the summers of 1966-1968 the watershed
was treated with a herbicide to prevent regrowth. Populations were
