Summary

Abstract: Boundaries of Kentucky's Large Lakes clipped to Southwest Appalachian
Conservation area.

Used to delineate boundaries for large lakes in Kentucky

These lake boundaries were created from the original lake coverage that was
provided by the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Cabinet. Updates
to individual boundaries were made during the Fishing Access project Updates
were created by performing on screen-digitizing the lake boundaries and
corrections on digital topomaps at 1:2000 scale in ArcView 3.2a. The original
data was digitized in UTM Zone 16 NAD 1927. The data was later reprojected to
decimal degrees NAD 1983. Data for US Army Corps of Engineers Lakes and Dept.
of Energy's Tennessee Valley Authority Lakes were used when available.
