Summary

Abstract: From NURE Sediment Chemistry FAQ:

These maps are derived from a subset of the National Uranium Resource
Evaluation (NURE) Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance (HSSR)
data. Approximately 260,000 samples were analyzed in the continental U.S. and
consisted of solid samples, including stream, lake, pond, spring, and playa
sediments, and soils. Data for eleven elements: Na, Ti, Fe, Cu, ...

Description: This site contains a United States and Global maps that
coordinates geologic, geochemical, geophysical, lithologic,
mineral deposit, and geographic data. It is a combination of
several data sets including the one described above. The data
sets for a particular point on the map may be viewed by clicking
on that point. The data sets may be downloaded in their
entirety by going to http://mrdata.usgs.gov/sddpftp.html.
