1994 Weather in the Southeast: The February Ice Storm and July FloodingEntry ID: gov.noaa.ncdc.C00490
Abstract: 1994 Weather in the Southeast: The February Ice Storm and July Flooding is a technical report available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). During the first seven months of 1994, the Southeastern United States was struck by a severe ice storm in February, followed by severe flooding in July. The ice storm resulted in over 3 billion dollars in damage, while the flooding, caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Alberto, resulted in up to 1 billion dollars in damage. This report provides details and climatic data from these two events.
Purpose: To make a wide range of climatic data available to researchers and the public.
