Nova Scotia Geoscience Digital ProductsEntry ID: Canada_NovaScotia_GeosciDigProd
Abstract: This collection contains all of the downloadable digital geoscience data
products produced by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, Mineral
Resources Branch (MRB). These products include geological maps, databases and
images. The products are intended for use in Geographic Information System
(GIS) software or other software packages that can use the data. The products
are available in a ... variety of formats including: ESRI Shapefiles; ESRI exchange
format (E00) files; DXF/DBF; and images in TIFF and JPEG format with ArcView
world file. Some map products may also have associated PDF files. The intent of
this collection is to allow users access to MRB digital geoscience data
products. Each product has a metadata record. The metadata records can be
searched to assist users to discover geoscience data products on Nova Scotia
that meet the criteria they are searching for and to provide a link to allow
the user to download those products for their use for free.

Quality ATTRIBUTE ACCURACY REPORT: The attributes reflect the legal information
provided by the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management and are assumed
to be accurate.
LOGICAL CONSISTENCY REPORT: Data are believed to be logically consistent,
although not tested. Geometry appears to be topologically clean.
COMPLETENESS REPORT: This a statewide data ... layer and is believed to depict the
locations of all designated barrier beaches within the Commonwealth of
HORIZONTAL POSITIONAL ACCURACY REPORT: The accuracy of these data is based on
source data that are assumed to meet National Map Accuracy Standards.
PROCESS DESCRIPTION: The Marine Fisheries data layer was created using the MA
coastal zone as a template. The MA coastal zone data layer was used to depict
the landward boundary for this law, as well as the ateral boundaries with New
Hampshire and Rhode Island. However, the MMS state seward boundary was appended
to the existing coastal zone boundary. Attributes were added to reflect the
information relevant to this law.
