Sediment Core and GPR Evidence for Glaciation of Taylor Valley, Antarctica
Entry ID:
Prentice0737168
Summary
Abstract:
The data set consists of ground-penetrating radar (GPR) profiles and information for five sediment cores, all from lower Taylor Valley, Antarctica. The GPR data include maps, tables, and images of the GPR profiles. The sediment core data include location, grain-size data, magnetic susceptibility data, ice isotopic data, and 14C dates.
Purpose: One objective was to investigate the history of the Ross Sea Ice Sheet in and around lower Taylor Valley since the Last Glacial Maximum. The other was to investigate the history of the proposed proglacial lake, Glacial Lake Washburn. Geographic Coverage
