Abstract:
At the request of the U.S. Army and the Federal Emergency Management Agency,
the NASA MODIS Rapid Response System is providing daily geo-rectified images of the U.S. Gulf Coast region to assist in response to the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina. The goal is that the imagery will be useful to others as well. The images are updated daily as data is received. The imagery is also GIS compatible can be directly downloaded into GIS software.
