Abstract:
This data layer represents the spatial extent of Massachusetts
Executive Order 181: Barrier Beaches. An existing spatial data layer that had been created by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst was used as the basis for this georegulatory data layer. Purpose: The ability to visualize regulations, laws, or management structures can help policy makers understand use conflicts, point out inconsistencies in national or state policy, and educate the public about ocean issues. In addition, georegulations allow the user to view the spatial extent of these laws, along with natural resources that many of these laws seek to protect. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: ...
