Abstract:
The purpose of this project is to map the surficial geology of the sea
floor of Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS) and changes in surficial characteristics over time. This GIS project presents multibeam and other data in a digital format for analysis and display by scientists, policy makers, managers and the general public. The data set consists of: Seafloor topography and backscatter intensity of HARS Boundary of the Cellar Dirt Disposal Site Locations of Dredged Material Placed in the HARS Sediment Texture Samples Taken in the HARS in 1996 and 1998 Open-File Report 00-503 may be ordered on DVD from USGS Information Services. The DVD contains the GIS data, which are not available online, due to size http://www.earthplatform.com/
