Summary
Abstract: Once logged into the National Geoscience Data Repository (NGDRS), this
data set will contain seismic surveys for the Gulf of Mexico region.
These surveys were collected by PGS Exploration, a company that
specializes in the acquisition, manipulation, interpretation, and
management of three-dimensional seismic survey data.

The NGDRS is maintained by the American Geological Institute (AGI) and
is made possible through the joint sponsorship of the petroleum
industry and the Department of Energy (DOE). The development of the
NGDRS was inspired by the need to preserve the large volumes of
geologic data that were collected by the petroleum industry and its
associated agencies during the assessment and development of well sites.

Description: Samples of three-dimensional seismic survey data are available to the
user by selecting the PGSeSOURCE icon on the left side of the PGS home
page. Proprietary data is available for a fee.
