Measurements of oceanic halocarbons and oceanic carbon dioxide made during the WOCE P16S research cruise in the South Pacific Ocean, July-August 1991

Summary

Abstract: This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic halocarbons made by Rana Fine, Kevin Maillet and Guy Mathieu; and oceanic carbon dioxide made by three groups, (1) David Chipman, Taro Takahashi; (2) Charles Keeling, (3) Catherine Goyet during the WOCE P16S and P17S research cruises in the South Pacific Ocean as part of the WOCE project. The cruise began on 16th July 1991 and ended on 25th of August 1991 with a spatial coverage of +4S to +38S latitude and +137W to +151W longitude.

The data consists of:

-measurements of CFC's in the ocean were made using electron capture gas chromatography
-measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2)
