Abstract: Simon A. Josey, Elizabeth C. Kent, and Peter K. Taylor compiled the SOC monthly mean flux atlas on a 1 degree by 1 degree grid. The fields have been derived from the COADS Release 1a (1980-93) dataset enhanced with additional metadata from the WMO47 list of ships. The original version 1.1 atlas was completed in 1998.
