Summary
Abstract: ReefBase is compiling field reports from the affected areas on observed impacts
to coral reefs and related environments from the Indian Ocean Tsunami of
December 2004. At this early point, the number of reports has been
understandably limited. More information is expected to become available in the
coming weeks, as researchers will try to reach the affected areas and conduct
surveys. A listing of preliminary reports assessing the Tsunami impact on
Coral Reefs in the region can be found at http://www.reefbase.org/
