The Influence of Free Drifting Icebergs on Pelagic Ecosystems in the Weddell Sea
Entry ID: ICEBERG_05

[ Update this Record ]

Summary
Abstract: The effects on the pelagic ecosystem surrounding free-drifting icebergs was measured the Weddell Sea. Two icebergs, 0.1 and 30.8 square kilometers in size, were monitored using MOCNESS tows, CTD casts, sea-bird surveys, and trace metal analysis to asses both the intensity and reach of their effect surrounding environment.
