XCTD Data surrounding Chukchi Borderland and Mendeleev Ridge of Arctic in 2011

Summary
Abstract: To measure the vertical profiles of temperature and salinity in the Chukchi Borderland/Mendeleev Ridge, an intensive oceanographic survey was conducted during 21 days from 2011 July 31 to August 20 by IBRV ARAON and to increase the spatial resolution for temperature and salinity, XCTD probes were used at 33 stations between regular hydrographic stations.

Purpose: To investigate the variability in spatial and temporal distribution of water masses and and understand its transformation along the pathways and relationship with sea ice melting in the Chukchi Borderland/Mendeleev Ridge.
