Summary
Abstract:
To measure the vertical profiles of temperature and salinity in the Chukchi Borderland/Mendeleev Ridge, an intensive oceanographic survey was conducted during 34 days from 2012 August 4 to September 7 by IBRV ARAON and to increase the spatial resolution for temperature and salinity, XCTD probes were used at 48 stations between regular hydrographic stations.
Purpose: To investigate the variability in spatial and temporal distribution of water masses and and understand its transformation along the pathways and relationship with sea ice melting in the Chukchi Borderland/Mendeleev Ridge. Geographic Coverage
