Summary
Abstract: Two high-elevation moraines sequences in the southern-central Transantarctic Mountains were sampled to characterize provenance changes through time. Samples were collected in transects across the moraine system at the base of Mt. Achernar, at the head of the Law Glacier and at Mt. Howe, at the head of Scott Glacier. Till samples were analyzed for particle size, pebble petrography, quantitative x-ray diffraction, till geochemistry, and U/Pb dating of detrital zircons.
