Summary
Abstract: The purpose of this dataset is to give geologists and other scientists a
spatial database of commodities in China. This data set will be utilized in
energy research and cartographic projects.

This dataset is a collection of commodities (coal gas, oil shale, and
quaternary peat) located in The Peoples Republic of China. Included in this
dataset is the type of the commodities.

Procedures_Used:

The commodities were digitized from the Energy Mineral Resource Map of China
and Adjacent Seas, published in 1992 by the Geological Publishing House,
Chinese Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources Information and Institute of
Mineral Deposits of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, utilizing ARC/INFO.
