Igneous Petrography of Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island, Antarctica

Summary
Abstract:
During this campaign, 50 volcanic and subvolcanic rock samples were collected,
which were described petrographically. In general they are porphyritic rocks composed of phenocrysts of plagioclase, olivine, and clinopyroxene in an intergranular-intersectional fundamental mass, some with pilotaxitic and/or amydaloidal textures. Geographic Coverage
