Summary
Abstract:
The SSMI is a seven-channel, four-frequency, dual-polarized, passive
microwave radiometer which measures the atmospheric, oceanic, and land surface microwave brightness temperatures at 19.3, 22.2, 37.0 and 85.5 GHz. The orbit of the satellite is near-circular, sun-synchronous, and near-polar with an inclination of 98.8 degrees.
