Abstract:
The purpose of this dataset is to give geologists and other scientists
a spatial database of coal fields in China. This data set will be utilized in energy research and cartographic projects. This dataset is a collection of coal field locations in The Peoples Republic of China. Included in this dataset is the rank of the coal in each field. Procedures_Used: The coal types were digitized from the Energy Mineral Resource Map of China and Adjacent Seas, published in 1992 by the Geological Publishing House, Chinese Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources Information and Institute of Mineral Deposits of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, utilizing ARC/INFO.
